Admittedly, I had never heard of WagerWeb prior to my being asked to write this review so any reputation WagerWeb.com has possibly earned , good or bad, can’t influence what I see or how I see it.
After several days of intense scrutiny of the website and harassment of WagerWebs Customer Service department, I come away impressed. I find few negatives to report of this company or the service they provide which is online gaming , information, news and entertainment. Yes, they provide all of these things. WagerWeb is unlike any online Sportsbook and Casino I have seen . They are unique and that?s what sets them apart from the competition.
Your first experience with WagerWeb will be when you land on its home page where you will be given a tour via a well crafted and laid out site in five categories, POKER, CASINO, SPORTSBOOK, RACING AND ENTERTAINMENT. Under each banner you are presented with a menu detailing every game or promotion offered . WagerWeb offers different promotions to satisfy its customers of different betting categories, i.e, poker, casino games, sportsbetting or racing. Once you navigate the tour you should be ready to make your deposit.
Signup, deposit and payout
If this is your first online sportsbook experience you will find the signup procedure quick and painless. They want to know where you live and your phone number. In my case , my Neteller account was credited less than two hours from the time of my request. I have seen faster but the time it took from request to deposit is within my acceptable limits for a good review. I think it would be helpful to call your VIP host after making your payout request . Your host will make sure your payout request gets into the right hands.
Customer service
It?s my opinion that customer service is the lifeblood of the online gaming business. An online player must be able to communicate with an articulate , knowledgeable and courteous representative on the telephone. There is nothing worse than talking to a person who sounds like he(she) has a sock stuck in its mouth and acts dumbfounded during a conversation. Believe me, there are plenty of them out there. The people at WagerWeb are well aware of this. Of the 3 or 4 customer service representatives I have spoken with, all were articulate and helpful. At WagerWeb, I noticed two levels of customer service representatives. When you call in on the telephone the guy (or gal) who answers the call will be the first level. This person can help you with just about anything but If you have special requests they will probably put you in touch with a VIP host. I recommend asking for a VIP host the minute someone answers the phone because you will get better service.
The Sportsbook
Now we are getting to the fun part. Why are we here? We want to bet on something and win some money. The WagerWeb Sportsbook is good, it looks nice but it can be a bit confusing and even more so than a number of other sportsbooks I have experience with however it doesn?t take rocket science to figure it out. We all have personal preferences as to what software we are comfortable with and I think WagerWeb is somewhere in the middle. One thing I am not is a computer geek(no offense to the real computer geeks ) so its hard for me to explain the software but I do know what I am comfortable with. I want to know about the parlays and teasers. I want to know the list of odds for everything. I want to know maximum bets and minimum bets. You will spend some time surfing the website before you find all of that. I have seen better than what WagerWeb has to offer . The website is so beautiful and full of information but is it what you need to know as a gambler. I often think sportsbooks try to impress with too much information that?s not very important to the wagering experience.
Its very important you find the rules . Every sportsbook will provide you with rules . That?s what I refer to as the small print. You need to learn every detail. This will help you in dealing with customer service when needed. The rules are easy to find and this is very important. I hate a sportsbook that hides the rules. I only need an easter egg hunt once a year thank you.
The Casino
WagerWeb has a magnificent Casino offering numerous card games, table game and slots. The software is attractive and easy to use. The only problem I have with the WagerWeb casino are the minimum bet limits. The minum bet is $2 on the card games. I prefer a $1 minimum which is the norm within the industry. I also find the maximum limits a bit low as well. A seasoned player will know exactly what I am talking about. And to the novice gambler, please let me explain. You will go through your bankroll quickly with high minimums and low maximums. WagerWeb offers two casino options, a downloadable version and a flash version. There is zero difference between the two so there is no need for you to download the casino.
Wagerweb provides a weekly ¼% cash back incentive on all casino games. This feature is something I haven?t seen. I will never complain about a gaming house giving me money back. I noticed a chat option in the casino but I have no idea with whom you will be chatting with or why. I couldn?t find an enter button to enter the chat so I could investigate. I found this feature confusing but it?s not important enough for much criticism.
Grading
Your wins and losses in the sportsbook or casino are posted immediately. Once a final score is posted, give it five minutes and your account should reflect the settlement. If you are a casino player your wins are instant and you are not required to transfer funds from the casino to sportsbook or vice versa. Having to transfer funds is annoying to me so its refreshing not to have to do that at WagerWeb.
Special Features
WagerWeb will never be accused of not having enough special features. They have tons of special features to keep you happy. One could get lost navigating through all that is offered to you including satellite sportstalk radio and sports updates. I think too many special features clutters up a sportsbook and casino website so fewer is better in my eyes. That?s not really a criticism because people have such varying taste.
Final Comments
I think WagerWeb is a keeper. I will have no problem in re-visiting this online Sportsbook , Casino and Racebook for pleasurable wagering. I have never found a gaming website that was perfect from top to bottom and WagerWeb is no different but they are very good. What more can one ask for? They are honest and helpful and want your business and will work hard to keep your business.
